The Royal Aristocrat
The Royal Typewriter Company was founded in 1904 in Brooklyn, New York. In 1939, Royal launched the Aristocrat, a brand that lasted well into the 1960s. Poet John Ashbery was one of many writers who relied on the Aristocrat.
The model shown here was one of the last of the product line, produced in 1968.
